Omega Chase
Several readers have asked me about the significance of the title.
Now if I told you all that, where’d the mystery be?
Seriously though, when I was thinking of an appropriate title for this book, one of my principal goals was making sure the title did not IN ANY WAY invoke zombies. As everyone will see by the end of the 2nd issue, Omega Chase isn’t a "zombie book." It’s a sci-fi book because at a certain point in the story Mack realizes…
Well, there I go almost giving it all away again.
Anyway, one of the challenges in promoting and marketing Omega Chase has been getting potential readers to understand that zombies aren’t the core opponents of the book. They (the zombies, not the readers) are just one of several obstacles that Mack will have to overcome… and wait until you see what Mack faces in issues #3 & #4.
Th3rd World Studios' publisher, Michael DeVito (a.k.a. Frustrated Baltimore Orioles Fan), designed the Omega Chase logo (as well as the cover layout) and did a fantastic job, I think. The logo invokes the appropriate genre.
Michael is definitely a hands-on publisher, and his hard work in making Omega Chase the best looking title possible is one of several reasons why I’m thrilled having him as my publisher…
The fact that he calls me every time the Orioles' bullpen blows a lead was an unexpected (and pleasant) bonus.
