NEW SUPERFOGEYS T-SHIRT NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE!
Anybody remember SF 201? C'mon, it's not that hard. It was just a week ago. Still nothing? Okay, try this link. Remember now? Okay, good.
Tall Tale Radio Host, super stud (so I've heard) and all-around good guy Tom Racine mentioned in the comments last week that one of the lines in 201 would make for a good T-Shirt. It was an off-handed comment, just a way to let me know he appreciated what was going on in that strip.
So of course I took his idea and ran with it.
Now Available in the SuperFogeys Store is the very shirt that Tom suggested. I'm calling it the "Sorry, Fidel." Check it out:

And here's a closer look at the design (Hopefully you'll be able to see this--some people have been having issues with some of the images I've been posting. If so, I'm sorry.):
So there you go! I actually pay attention the comments I'm responding to. Who knew? You can order your "Sorry, Fidel" T-Shirt , along with the other SF T-Shirts and books right here.
SUPERFOGEYS ON COMIC CHATCAST
Have you guys ever heard of this? Got an email yesterday letting me kow that they'd decided to spotlight SF and the new book and then had a grand time chatting with those of you who caught my alerts on Twitter and Facebook.
Don't know if SF will still be the spotlight item today, but if it is come on over and join us. Feel free to discuss anything--including today's strip!
Next Week:
There's a bomb about to go off over at SuperFogeys Origins and somebody besides Captain Spectacular is going to have to save the day because, well, you'll see... And then, on Thursday, SF 203 drops and the Third Man and Dr. Rocket continue to break it down. You don't know everything...yet.

My hed iz 'bout to asplode! That wasn't Dr. Rocket all that time? It was a shape-shifting impostor?Poor Herman. sniff. Now's the time for a soft-focus montage of all of Herman's best moments with some sappy music playing in the background.
Herman... oh, Herman. They took you from us too young, Herman! Why? Why!?!

So is that flashback from that time, when Captain big S was depressed and accused from being villainish? When he first meet Tangerine? And I guess that I was actually going to ask question, when I pointed that Thrice Evil knew this thing that why did he leave that rose then, but it was probably tribute for Herman then, I guess.

Greg B. - Haha. A sappy music montage of Herman? There's a part of me that reeeeeally wants to do that.Joku/Si Civa - To answer your question simply: yes. I almost said something about that in the comments, but I hate spelling things out like that. And why should I when I have such astute readers? As for the Thrice Evil...you got it. Herman was at Valhalla for a while. I think it's pretty obvious just how long, but it will be made more explicit next week.
Bullfinch - Yep, the clues were there the whole time! It's more fun that way. Doesn't feel as cheap either.
DoctorParadox - I think I have what is a good idea for how CS will deal with Dr. Rocket. In fact, that scene will kind of explain why this chapter was structured the way it was. For anyone who pays attention to such things that is. I'm saying too much.
Tad - You should know, you were there.
Tyler D. - More is coming. This is really only about half an explanation. There's a big question still out there about all this. I'm surprised no one has asked it.
Mike J. - Nice work, my friend!
Tom - That's a great question and I'll be dealing with the answer directly next week. It's not THE question, but it's part of it.
Amanda - That's the idea! More pieces next week! You won't believe how far back this plot goes.
Bathbomber - There's a good reason for that. Like I've said above, this really only about half of the explanation. Still, the clues for the rest of it are there if you're willing to look for it. Back in Chapter 5, just before Herman died, people were really focused on the stutter. They were right to be so.
DGriff - No kidding. Mike suffers from an embarrassment of riches.

First Tad warns about how you take offhand remarks seriously, then you say you're tempted to do the Herman montage, and then I remember that tweet to you about "Super Fogeys Babies (like Muppet Babies, but much more disturbing)" and I start feeling a bit nauseous.Brock says...

But wait... if Herman the shapeshifter (poor dear) died then wouldn't Death MD be too busy dealing with that to be at the funeral in the first place??Brock says...

Dierna - That's a great question and one I asked myself when I was writing. It's one of those things that can be easily explained away, but that there just wasn't any space or time to address. Perhaps I will some day, but I don't want to be cheap so I'll just say that my current thinking on the issue is that Death, M.D. is only one of many aspects of death. He probably deals with a very specific clientele which Dr. Rocket would qualify for and Herman would not. Logically, this means there are other aspects of death out there as well.Yes, you can't get any of this from just reading what I've presented. I may even change my mind about this explanation. The important thing is that the implication is that there's something about Herman's death that does not demand Death, M.D.'s attention. Setting all assumptions aside, that's the only thing we know for sure. And I think, for now, that's all we have to know.

So the clone theory wasn't far off. Herman had a change of heart, then? I wonder who knew. This is why Rocket/Herman looked so panicked when Jerry got shot, I bet - entralen slime pellet operation was not part of the briefing. Was he just making it up with the Redbook magazine and everything?

Brock:I guess that makes sense.
In the web comic Irregular Web Comics there's many different aspects of death....and they're always arguing with each other (much to the annoyance of Head Death)...*lol*

WOW, I mean wow. i didnt see that coming, that it was a shape shifter the whole time. i figured for the death but holy cow. What has he been up too the whole time. we need a flashback, please. i would love to see what he has been planning.wow its getting deeper. LOVE IT.

EL - Yep! Now everyone can stop asking me about it. Yay!Cyberdog - Thanks, man.
Kavonn - You're asking good questions and they will all be answered next week, I believe.
Dierna - Haha. That does sound funny. I'm not saying the "aspects" of death is my official explanation. In fact, I have another one in mind that might be a lot better. Depends on how things shake out/if I get to it. The question does not loom so large that I feel I HAVE to answer it.
Artisan54 - Glad, you're stoked! As for what Dr. Rocket's been doing this whole time...not nearly as important as what he's gonna do next. Not saying you're not ever gonna find out, but it's not priority one.
