THE ANNOTATED SUPERFOGEYS 241
Seems like a good time to take a look back at Tom his journey in SuperFogeys and SuperFogeys Origins, don't it?
Tom's struggles with Jetpack addicition
Tom meets with his father at Valhalla
Tom introduces his father to the new love in his life
And, of course, Tom goes bye-bye
UPDATE-WHOOPS! THE SUPERFOGEYS ON SMALLVILLE???
Could be! The Smallville producers recently asked Th3rd World Studios for several comics and T-Shirts for use in an upcoming episode. Guess when that episode airs? If you guessed tomorrow night (Friday the 29th) at 8pm, you're right!
Now, while I can't guarantee that the SuperFogeys will be showing up in some way, I can confirm that some Th3rd World titles will make it on the air. Keeping my fingers crossed that SF made the cut!
Update: Oops. Looks like the Smallville episode in question, "Warrior,"
doesn't air until FEBRUARY 12TH. The Haiti Relief Benefit broadcast
kind of screwed up the schedule. Darn you, George Clooney! I knew one
day your altruism would bite me in the butt.
DR. ROCKET GUEST STARS IN ATOMIC LAUNDROMAT!
Big thanks to Armando Valenzuela for featuring Dr. Rocket in his latest strip! Armando is a regular, loyal SuperFogeys reader and he deserves your clickage. This was a surprise to me, but a welcome one!
NEXT WEEK:
On Tuesday we meet Captain Spectacular's fourth wife, Zurida - Mistress of Worlds! She's a nutter, this one. Must be seen to be believed.
Then, on Thursday, be back here as we take a look at what the loss of Tom means to Ms. Missile. I'm guessing a lot.

Some people don't understand how important other people are before they lose those beautiful souls forever.Though I've my doubts if Tom is really gone, but oh well, only future will tell.

so it takes losing his son for CS to prove that he does care about tom.looks like the "father of the year" award isn't going to go to CS then

I love the reaction from CS, it's really touching. You really pulled out all the stops and made a great moment there guys. I can't wait to see what they all do, I'm betting CS is going to either flip his lid completely or go one a rampage for The Third Man.Sayman says...

Interesting choice on keeping the entire scene focused on Captain Spectacular's face and reaction. Good job!Brock says...

I'm blown away by all the positive responses so far. I've got the best readership in all of webcomicdom, bar none (what the crud does "bar none" mean?).The choice to not move the "camera" away from the Captain's face was a little different from what I normally do (and you'll notice I changed up the art style a little accommodate that choice), but it felt right and it makes me really happy to see so many of you respond positively to it. Challenges me to experiment more in the future!

The best part of the art is that all those speech bubbles so how fast things are going, yet Captain's is so shocked that even his tear is falling slowly. It just fits so damn well, just so damn well.Ed- says...

Intense. I think that word best describes todays strip.Brock, I think "Bar None" refers to the ranch on Nickelodeons old live action show "Hey, Dude".
(Really though I have no idea about "Bar None", I just felt like being clever with a random reference... )

Sorry for the double post:Bar None -> Barring none other (aka, you have the best readership excluding no other readership from the comparison)
And that's sweet ^^

I love it, Brock. I love how the camera position on CS's face, which is drawn also to add effect, gives us/me the impression that right now to him it's as if the world has stopped. It gives me the impression that this is one of those moments where everything goes dark and even loud screaming is faint and almost inaudible to the person in shock.
