UPDATED WITH PIC AND LINK!! THE SUPERFOGEYS ON BIG BANG THEORY!?

BIG THANKS to Norm Feuti of the absolutely amazing webcomic Gill for providing this screen shot!  You can also check out the clip to this scene here!  So freakin' cool...

Original post:

As of this writing The Big Bang Theory hasn't aired in California yet, but a few weeks back they asked Th3rd World for some comics for use as props and we were only too happy to oblige!  The word from back east is that all three SF books made an appearance! Did you see it?

COMMENTS ON THURSDAY'S STRIP

Sorry about falling behind on comments on the last strip.  All caught up now, so click back and check it out.

THAT BIG INTERVIEW

That big interview I've been teasing for a couple of weeks now will be showing up this week.  Details on Twitter and here just as soon as I have 'em.

NOT COMICS

Those of you with good memories will recall that at the beginning of this year I committed to working on a memoir about my father full-time. I love more than just comics! Anyways, over the weekend a piece I wrote about my cousin that passed away about a year ago went up over on my mother's blog.  It's kind of a cousin in itself to the memoir, so check it out if you're looking for something a little different.  I'm pretty proud of it.

See you on Thursday with SuperFogeys 204!

I'm loving the background story that is developing here! Another great SFO!

Your memories of your cousin were particularly touching to me because my wife's grandma is dying of her second lung cancer. She might die tonight, or in the next week. My wife hopes she dies soon so she doesn't suffer, but she is a mix of anger, sadness, despair, anxiety, and whatever else. I will miss her too, but I am more concerned for my wife and her grieving. That is why your guest blog thing touched me more than the comic. It was also fascinating becasue I had read another blog of yours detailing the failed romance.... I don't think you included how you fell apart and your cousin helped you though.

It's a very good page, especially the last one with Captain Spectacular's gritted smile aside to The Money Man.

I'd have to say, I think Spy Gal looks a bit off in panel 4. She's all boob and NO shoulder. I had always thought her to have at least rounder and more defined shoulders like in the earlier ones, but here she looks kind of like one of those water noodles that swallowed two grapefruits. Even her arms have no muscle definition.

These Origins episodes are simply getting better and better. Well done.

You probably saw the BBT episode by now. No SF mention and no Pinkerton mention. Does Th3rd World have any other titles? ;-)

Mike J. - Oh-ho. Just wait, my friend. There's a huge twist coming. You'll know it when you see it.

Tad - Wow, man. Thanks for sharing that. Very sorry to hear that and my heart goes out to you and your wife. Without checking, I do believe I made mention of my cousin's role in that night, but it was brief.

Meredia - Yeah, TL is great with the expressions. He nails 'em every time. I'm gonna defer comments about Spy Gal's depiction to him. Thanks for the feedback in any case!

Dierna - But have you noticed he really only has one joke? It's kind of sad, actually.

Eben07 - Thanks! This one felt a little slapshod as we were creating it, but looking at it now weeks later I like it a lot more.

Greg B. - You're right--they didn't actually mention the comics, but they were shown in the background, as you can see by the pic that now leads off this post!

CBKTQKE - You're spam, aren't you? If you're not, thanks!

Tyler D. - You said it. Either that or he has an endorsement deal.

DD - Thanks, man! Wait until you see the intro on the next page...

Birddog - Agreed. TL just nails these characters.

DUDE, that rocks! I actually found out via Norm's site first, heh. Comic books are showing up on Monday night TV a lot lately- a "Sheldon" collection popped up on "How I Met Your Mother". Crazy!

Oh yeah, good Origins. Spectacular as always. Captain Spectacular! HA! Oh, nevermind. Too much coffee.

Hey great page. That's cool that your comic was on TV. Did you know it was going to be on the show, or did someone spot it for you? Btw, I gotta new page up http://www.drunkduck.com/warriorborn Check it out.

Irma - Dang it! Sorry about that, Irma!

Artisan54 - Rich Chocolate Ovaltine was always my favorite.

Dgriff - I heard about Sheldon--that's so great. It's nice to see comics getting so much respect nowadays. Now if only DC and Marvel would stop screwing it up.

Cyberdog - The guys at BBT asked Th3rd World for some comics. It was as simple as that! Nice action in the new page--great smackdown.

Thanks guys I really liked how this one came out.
Meredia: Yikes, sorry, I'll make sure she's a bit more superheroic from now on.
Birddog: Swifty is the best! He's got some great scenes coming up! I love superspeed.

DGRIFF: Sheldon's always on How I Met Your Mother. Dave Kellett's wife is a writer on the show. *lol*
