Thus ends Omega Chase #4.
One of the purposes of this page is to show how much John (whose features up to this point have been partially or completely obscured) resembles Mack Baron. If you go back and look at the first page of Omega Chase #1 you should see the resemblance. Indeed, this page deliberately mirrors the first page of Omega Chase #1 in order to emphasize the resemblance.
But what exactly is John's relationship with Mack? And what's the nature of the U.S. Department of Defense sponsored project that involves them both?
Theories? I'd love to read what you all think is going on here. In fact, a few of you have already figured it all out. Not that I told any of you that though. ![]()
As I write this, Julio, Wilson and I are halfway done with Omega Chase #5. Rest assured: we're working hard to get this issue in the can so you all can read it!
In the meantime, I'll be attending both the Baltimore Comic Con (Oct. 10 & 11 where Th3rd World Studios will have a booth) and The Albany Comic Con (Nov. 1). If you plan on coming to either of these events, please stop by and say hello! I'd love to chat with you!

Thanks DF2506. This page includes several Easter Eggs too: post-its on the computers with the names of Meha (colorist), Devito (publisher), EE (for Egg Embry, editor). "1205" is my b-day (Dec 5). Names of computers: "Predator" and "Trinity" (my name is...), two cool movies, and "Ciruelo", a world-class Argentine fantasy artist. Wish I can show you pages from the upcoming issue 5 now, but cannot. Stay tuned for them, thanks :)erin says...

Hey Keith,I met you in a comic book store in long Island on free comic book day. I read your first issue a few times. I picked it up again a few days ago and decided to go online and read the rest of the story. Good job. i really do like the plot, the characters, and most of all i really do like Mack. You got a great comic here. i can't wait to see more. i'll keep checking in and maybe i'll be able to make a con you're at. thanks again for the great comic

I bet, it's a top-secret Donut development program, dedicated to going back in time to steal the top-secret Donut technology of the old Soviet empire, before its loss in a tragic bakery fire in the 1950's. They're after the elusive Borscht Donut recipe. I'm sure of it.... ;)Keith Dallas says...

Well, who WOULDN'T want to steal the elusive Borscht Donut recipe?:)
Thanks for chiming in, Gimbal!

2010 has arrived - but no new pages - is this abandoned now or.....?Keith Dallas says...
posted 2/26/10 2:42 am
Hey CB,No, Omega Chase is not abandoned. Here's what happened: Julio finished drawing half the issue but then showed me and the publisher a new art style he had been working on. And if you liked Julio's art before, you'll LOVE this new style! It's really incredible! So Julio proposed that he discard the pages he's already drawn and start the 5th issue over with his new style. We agreed.
That's the cause for the delay, and we apologize for it. But we hope when you see what Julio produces you'll forgive us.
Thanks for the comment!

Thanks to all for your kind comments. The delay for issue 5 is all my fault. Like Keith says above, I decided to step backwards but come back with a new art style. You can see page 1 of Omega Chase #5 if you visit my site in Facebook (click my name above). Page is in full color. Inks by Jason Roth, colors by John Hunt. I hope you like the new style of the book :)zoidberg says...

I'm unable to view the pages in firefox3.5 on linux, only the last page shows.Keith Dallas says...

That's really odd, Zoidberg. I'm using Firefox3.6 and I can see every page just fine. Perhaps you should upgrade to 3.6? I'll ask the publisher.Moiraibane says...

Thanks for the ETA. Saves me a page click every few days. It's been a great story which has made the last year frustrating waiting for continuation. Of course I've never offered my two cents because that's more than I pay to read.
Keep up the good work guys.

Thanks, Blackbeard! Since you're so complimentary, we'll forgive you for not buying hard copies.;)
Update: Julio has finished drawing the issue, and there's only a handful of pages left to be colored. New pages will DEFINITELY be posted come October.

Bought all 4 issues at the Bostom Comic-Con and really enjoyed them. Good story, humorous elements work well. Nice coloring, too. You've really got to step up the production schedule, though (Dave Sim would agree).keith dallas says...
